The Health Rights Video Collection is a free classroom resource for public health instructors.  Made possible by the The Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER), the collection provides a searchable database of over 100 short videos.
Human Rights in Patient Care 
Averaging 11 minutes in length, the videos provide brief introductions to topics in human rights in patient care (HRPC).  The HRPC approach stresses the human rights of all individuals involved in the provision of healthcare, including both medical personnel and patients.  Video topics include:
  • Palliative Care
  • Sexual and Reproductive Rights
  • Deinstitutionalization
  • Gender Recognition
  • Harm Reduction
The videos focus on the health concerns of marginalized populations.  These populations include:
  • People Who Use Drugs
  • Indigenous People 
  • People with HIV/AIDS 
  • People with Disabilities
  • Sex Workers
Finding the Right Video
In addition to being searchable by Issue and Population, the collection is also searchable by the following parameters to help instructors find just the right video for their classroom needs.  The addition search parameters are:
  • Length
  • Country
  • Spoken Language
  • Subtitle Language
Submitting a Video
The collection is also happy to accept new additions.  If you have a video about human rights in patient care that you think would make a good addition to our collection, please submit it using this form.
